According to latest media reports Brazil has developed to the sixth largest economy in the world and from today's perspective another, immense growth can be predicted. Already in 2020, the country has set the goal to ascend to the top of the five world economies.

Also, the Brazilian subsidiary TIGRA do Brasil, based in Curitiba, in Southern Brazil has benefited from the rapid economic development. As one of the world's leading manufacturers of cutting inserts for woodworking tools TIGRA could more than double its sales in all product areas there. The renowned manufacturer of cutting inserts could record enormous growth especially with reversible knives, saw tips and carbide strips, exclusively manufactured in Oberndorf factory. "Also in Brazil," so Bernd Motzer, Managing Director of TIGRA do Brasil, "the predicate “Made in Germany " is considered as evidence of particularly high quality! More and more customers rely on it - and this is right for sure, as we have just invested large investments in additional qualified people, high-tech machinery and buildings in Oberndorf in the recent years!"

With the new premises and a much larger warehouse, the Brazilian subsidiary not only expands by far, but at the same time it targets to develop further growth and improved customer service. On 1 August 2013 the modern business rooms could be opened for publicity having a private customer parking and an excellent trafic connection.
